The venue set the tone immediately: calm, elevated, and detail-led. It was the perfect environment for an experience built around Japanese heritage — where guests could slow down, connect, and enjoy the craft behind each element of the afternoon.
A closer look at Seiko’s latest releases

Throughout the event, guests were invited to explore and try on the latest releases across Seiko’s core collections, including:
- Prospex
- Presage
- King Seiko
- Seiko 5 Sports
Cultural experiences: matcha, calligraphy & origami
Seiko created a layered cultural program that celebrated Japanese artistry in ways guests could participate in.
The afternoon included:
- A 45-minute matcha tasting led by Simply Native, featuring three premium blends and the history and traditions of matcha in Japan
- Live calligraphy by Tomoko Oka, who created personalised name cards in Japanese Kanji, explained the meaning behind each guest’s name, and finished each piece with a traditional red seal
- A live origami activation led by Kham (Origami World)
How guests experienced the activations

Rather than a single seated workshop, the event was designed as a relaxed, flowing experience. Guests were invited to:
- Walk around and mingle
- Explore and try on Seiko watches at their own pace
- Stop by the calligraphy table to receive their name written in Japanese Kanji
- Visit the origami table to watch a creation come to life — or fold their own alongside Kham
This format created a natural rhythm in the room: discovery, conversation, and hands-on moments, without interrupting the premium feel of the afternoon.
Origami World activation: Seiko blue + soft pastels

Guests were guided step-by-step through the art of origami using Seiko blue and soft pastel Japanese Yuzen Washi papers, inspired by the event’s refined colour palette.
Origami works beautifully in premium environments because it creates a shared moment that feels both calm and personal:
- Guests naturally slow down and focus
- Conversation flows as people fold side-by-side
- Everyone leaves with a finished piece they made themselves
Branded kits and meaningful keepsakes

For brands, the value of an activation isn’t only what happens in the room — it’s what guests remember afterwards. Branded origami kits created a tactile, take-home reminder of the afternoon: simple, beautiful, and aligned with Seiko’s story.
Event styling and atmosphere

The result: a milestone event with a lasting feeling
Seiko’s inaugural Ladies Event wasn’t just a celebration of watches — it was a celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary femininity, expressed through experiences guests could touch, taste, and take home.
Origami World was proud to be part of an afternoon that felt genuinely thoughtful — and a strong beginning of what Seiko described as a “new chapter,” showcasing their commitment to heirloom-quality timepieces defined by tradition, elegance, and timeless design.
